Open Hands is Governed by the Board of Trustees who are all passionate about the Project and are actively involved in reaching out to the vulnerable, poor and marginalized people of Sheffield.
Jonathan Bennett (Chair)
Jonathan is a former solicitor, and now a Circuit Judge in the Crown Court. He is married to Sarah and they have four children.
Nick is a Baptist Minister and leads The Well Sheffield. He is married to Marjorie and they have three children.
Katy Gaunt (Treasurer)
Katy is a Commercial Accountant for an international law firm. Katy is married to Peter, and they have lived in Sheffield for the past 10 years.
Nico works as a Refugee Service Coordinator for the British Red Cross in South Yorkshire. He has been involved with the Good News Café at the Cathedral Archer Project, who provide breakfast to the homeless, for the last couple of years. Nico has previously been involved in several relief projects in remote parts of Africa.
Phil works in the Employment and Skills team for Sheffield City Council. Phil has helped on a soup run for the homeless for the past 9 years. He is interested in military history and enjoys American football and baseball.
Ian is a Chartered Engineer and Company Director working within social housing and regeneration projects in the UK. He has lived and worked in South East Asia and Central Europe. Ian is married to Helen and they have four children.
